Christmas 2011 alternate
Christmas 2011
Bev and Jim asked us to write this years letter for them. We're neighbors.
They pretty much stayed to themselves all winter blaming that on some renovation work in their basement after the flood. That actually made for a pretty nice time in the neighborhood.
Before they left us alone here for the summer, they gave us all reason for hope by the placement of a rock in the National Forest in GA.
After placing the rock, their annual migration began with Jim going to “help” in North Dakota and upon his return, they headed to upstate New York to bother those neighbors.
Evidently, they bothered them so much that they came home early, but Jim then went back to North Dakota to “help” more.
That must not have worked out because he came back early, too early for Bev I guess as she put him in the hospital and arranged for back surgery. That seemed to slow him down for most of the fall allowing Bev to do her genealogy research unencumbered by Jim.
Jim's research this year may have caused some family issues. It seems he's found that his ancestors also fought in the Civil War and actually captured Bev's ancestor at Vicksburg! Then Jim's ancestors continued into Georgia and participated in the conflagration around Atlanta and to the sea.
That most likely is why Jim has worked for over a year to obtain for 2 Confederate soldiers of Wiley Georgia, headstones, as restitution for the activities of his ancestors.
We hear they may spend the week after Christmas in the Denver area and we look forward to the event.
Sincerely,
Their neighbors.
